PACT Rally

Students involved in PACT must attend an orientation session where they will learn about community organizing as a catalyst for social change, the difference between social justice and direct service, the mission of PACT, how they operate, their historical successes, and why this work is meaningful and important. There will also be information provided that is specific to their current campaign issue, which this year is Affordable Housing, and updates about the research they have been working on.

This orientation is an important precursor to getting directly involved because, without this broader understanding of PACT, it is hard for students to fully engage and understand their impact.

This rally, ahead of the Nehemiah Action, is a chance for PACT members to organize and motivate each other in order to execute the goals that have been set throughout the research phase. This is a chance to both get excited but also to generate support and inspire network members to recruit their peers to attend the Nehemiah Action through an actionable plan.

Orientation will take place in the Adrian Dominican Institute for Mission and Leadership (Thompson 208) from 5:30-6:30 PM. Registration for the rally is at 6:30 PM in the Cor Jesu Chapel.

You will receive 3 hours of service for attending the orientation as well as the Rally.
