It was my first time ever volunteering at a Salvation Army so I didn't know much about it. I worked kitchen hours which included serving food to the homeless. The workers there were very nice and helped me with anything I needed. They filled me in on everything I needed to know and what to do. It was pretty easy for the most part but the hardest part was seeing the people who are in need. It's tough to be able to work in places like this but helps to know that I'm helping these people with my volunteering.
